It was a mere coincidence that the day we learned about impeachment, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that she is directing the House of Representatives to look into possibly drawing up articles of impeachment against our current President Donald Trump. If you are at all interested in following this important event, feel free to come and discuss with me during lyceum or after school - it is rare for an impeachment to occur (there has only been one other instance in my lifetime) and it is certainly worthy of discussion!

Medical Leave for Mr. McCauley

Hello everyone,

For those of you who do not know, I was diagnosed with a chronic disease this past March and was forced to miss time at school while dealing with treatment of the disease during the 4th quarter last year. Thankfully the disease is completely treatable due to modern medical science; intermittently, however, I will have to miss more time at school when I undergo complications relating to the disease. This week is unfortunately one of those times. I am doing my best to recover as quickly as possible and remain healthy. While I am away, please feel free to send any questions, concerns, or comments to my email - - and I look forward to getting back as soon as possible!

Welcome to Mr. McCauley's History Classes!

I am teaching both US history and ancient history this year, and to view specific homework assignments and course content (such as historical videos) posted and updated by the date, please click on the above tabs labeled "6th Grade US History" and "7th Grade Ancient History."

Below in the form of a link you will also find my YouTube "playlist" for both 6th and 7th grade. These playlists feature all of the pre-screened videos I will be using during the year and will also be updated weekly as I find and feature more videos. This is an excellent resource for studying and for just having fun watching interesting history videos!
